This one is so cool it's actually unbelievable to me. This is the great, unsurpassable, mind-blowingly great Terry Reid. Go out right now and find a record called "Terry Reid".......this man turned down the vocal spot for Led Zepplin, THEN went on to find Robert Plant and John Bonham for Jimmy Page!! Blame Terry! He also turned down the lead vocal spot in Deep Purple (see, he was artistically very smart!) He was also......a teenager!! One of the most soaring, stunningly beautiful voices to ever be put to vinyl. The story is too sad to relate, but you can find all kinds of stuff about him on the net. Get a bottle of whiskey and a crying towel. I told him it seemed our buddy Jeff Buckley HAD to have heard him at some point in his life (check Jeff's phrasing and nuances, and don't go throwing that "his Dad" thing at me) and Terry said "well, I knew Tim quite well!" Hmmm, maybe Jeff's Ma had a few Terry Reid records lyin' around. I can't say enough about Terry, though I've said too much......Wow.
